Brooke Hongell 13s Academy

West Perth Football Club is thrilled to announce the launch of the Brooke Hongell 13s Academy for 2025, a significant expansion of our female football talent development programs. After leading the way with our industry-recognized Moora Citrus U16s Female Football Academy, we are now introducing a dedicated program for U13 girls, focused on developing the next generation of elite female athletes.

Brooke Hongell, a leader and recently retired great of female football, amassing over 120 career games across WAFLW and WAWFL. Was Co-Captain in 2023 and is someone who lives the club values of trust, selfless, resilience and spirit – We’re excited to announce Brooke Hongell as the inaugural name to our expanded program.

Running for 12 months, with sessions once a fortnight, the Brooke Hongell 13s Academy will link closely with the SSWA 12s programs, offering unparalleled support for West Perth-zoned players. The academy’s key focus is on elite skill acquisition, leveraging resourcing unmatched anywhere in Western Australia.

This invite-only program is strictly for talent identification (TID), with West Perth Football Club staff consistently attending games and training sessions to assess the most promising young players in our zone. With only 30 spots available, the Brooke Hongell 13s Academy is designed to nurture the best young talent and prepare them for the next steps in their footballing journey. This launch marks another exciting chapter in our club’s continued leadership in female football development.
