Clint Degebrodt Re-Signs as WAFLW Senior Coach Until 2028

Author: West Perth FC

The West Perth Football Club is thrilled to announce that WAFLW Senior Coach Clint Degebrodt has re-signed with the Falcons for a further three years, committing to lead the Club until at least the end of the 2028 season.

Affectionately known around the Club as ‘Deggers,’ Clint joined West Perth midway through the 2023 WAFLW season and has been instrumental in building a strong and united program both on and off the field. With the support of his dedicated coaching panel, Degebrodt guided the Falcons to their first-ever WAFLW finals appearance in 2024 — a historic moment for the team in just their third season of competition.

Notably, West Perth became the first WAFLW expansion side to qualify for finals so quickly in entering the competition, a testament to Clint’s leadership, vision, and ability to develop both players and culture in a short period of time.

Deggers, a stalwart and connected man within the footballing industry has meant that quality players and staff have found their way to the Falcons to not just work alongside him, but to work with the talent available at the Falcons in both the Rogers Cup and WAFLW programs. There’s further excitement in the pathway programs within the Moora Citrus Female Football Pathway and this will see sustained success for our Female Programs moving forward.

West Perth CEO (Joe McCarthy) praised the extension:

“Clint has brought stability, high standards, and a deep care for our female footballers. He’s helped shape a culture we’re extremely proud of and has shown that the future of our WAFLW program is in strong hands.”

Clint Degebrodt shared his excitement about the re-signing:

“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to achieve so far, but even more excited about what lies ahead. The playing group, staff, and wider Falcons family have embraced the journey, and I’m honoured to continue building something special with them.”

This extension ensures long-term continuity for the Falcons’ WAFLW program and affirms the Club’s commitment to sustained success in the women’s competition.
