West Perth signs Steven Armstrong as new Senior Assistant coach
The football club is pleased to announce a new position within the senor men’s coaching ranks for the 2025 season. Steven Armstong has been appointed as our Senior Men’s Assistant coach. With 14 years’ experience in coaching. Steve has been dedicated and committed to learn as much as possible along his journey at all levels AFL, WAFL, State Level and PFL level. His development as a Coach at Subiaco Colts under Jarrod Schofield, then saw Steve progress successfully to the State 18’s program under Andrew Lockyer, then to Senior Football with Greg Harding (Swan Districts), Peter German (Perth) and our very own Darren Harris (Claremont) in the WAFL competition.
Experiencing other environments was always a key to his development. Steven is excited to join the West Perth team, Armstrong says “I have a strong passion for coaching where I believe in strong connections and building great relationships. I’m very excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to assist and support Jason and the greater West Perth Football Club in achieving sustained success” “To learn from Jason and the other coaches throughout all levels at West Perth is one I’m looking forward to and I look forward to fitting in to the environment that they are currently living and hopefully I can contribute in a small way moving forward”
