West Perth Football Club welcomes Gaetano Faranda
West Perth Football Club welcomes Gaetano Faranda
After an extensive interview process, we are pleased to announce Gaetano Faranda as our new Head of Strength and Conditioning.
This newly created role will be full time and will allow all players at the club to have access to full time resources across all age’s groups and teams.
Gaetano had a very successful 2024 as the Head of Performance at the Werribee Football Club in the VFL. We all know how hard premierships are to win and the Werribee Football Club held the cup up in 2024 for the first time in over 30 years.
Looking forward to moving to Perth, Gaetano had the below the following to say “ After two successful years at the Werribee Football, it was always going to hard to leave, especially as Werribee is where I grew up.
But, after the interviews and general conversation with Joe and Ryan, I could see their plan, they painted a very great picture on where they want to take the club, and it was a journey I could see myself being a part of”
CEO Joe McCarthy mentioned “We are excited to have Gaetano at the Football Club, he brings a wealth of experience with him and was the stand out candidate out of over 70 applications. We look forward to welcoming him to Perth in mid-November and to forming a strong relationship that will drive our football club to success”
As we welcome Gaetano we once again thank Corey Green and the Athletic Institute team for the hard over the past 7 years- they will forever be part of the WPFC history.
