Vale Colin Rockman OAM
Last week the Club was saddened to hear of the passing of Colin Rockman OAM. Colin was as a life-long supporter and then President of the Club from 2003-2008. In 2003 he was the leader when we won the premiership under coach Darren Harris and Captain Steve Trewhella. Colin was a Life Member of the club and a strong sponsor through his long association with the AHG car dealership (Big Rock Toyota). He was also a strong contributor and highly respected member of the Perth Jewish community. The community has had a long association with WPFC way back to the days of Alec and Cecil Breckler. Our sincere sympathies go to wife and loyal WPFC supporter Donnelle and all the families. Son Ashliegh spoke to the club last Saturday and said his father would have been thrilled with the mark of respect the players carried our last Saturday in wearing the traditional black arm band. Great leaders and supporters are hard to come by and Colin was certainly one of them. He also served as president of the WAFL Council of Presidents during his term as WPFC president. Vale Colin Rockman OAM.
