FALCONS RETURN TO TV IN ROUND 17

The Round 17 derby between East Perth and West Perth at Medibank Stadium has been added to the 7 Network broadcast schedule on Saturday, July 16.
Coverage will commence on 7mate from 1.30pm, with bouncedown at 1.40pm.
WAFC CEO Gavin Taylor said that televising an East Perth v West Perth marquee Derby was a great outcome for the competition.
“The Channel 7 broadcast has been a great success for the WAFL again this season with viewership up 12% on last year and a cumulative audience of more than 400,000,” he said.
“The additional promotion of the competition has been fantastic and a key fixture between East Perth and West Perth will be of great appeal to viewers.
“The WAFC also sincerely thanks West Perth Football Club sponsor Channel Nine for allowing the team to play without their usual Guernsey, which features the Nine News logo, in order to meet Chanel Seven’s requirements to telecast this game,” Mr Taylor said.
WAFL coverage on the 7 Network this season has been complemented by weekly radio coverage on Sport FM 91.3fm, HFM 107.3fm and KIX Digital, as well as matches on ABC Radio 720 and Grandstand Digital.
In addition to this, more than 22,000 people have downloaded the WAFL App, which also provides live streaming of the KIX Digital coverage.
There will be no WAFL games televised from Rounds 20-22 due to the 2016 Olympic Games however WAFL coverage will continue with radio partners, via the WAFL App and on the WAFL Facebook and Twitter accounts.
A televised game in Round 23 will be confirmed as soon as possible.
