TALENT COACHING VACANCIES FOR 2018

THE West Perth Football Club is currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants for the positions of Assistant Coach in the Les Fong 16s and Assistant Coach for the Colts.
The West Perth Football Club prides itself on the development and promotion of young footballers and a continued focus on personal development both on and off the field.

We aim to maximise the potential of every player, coach, volunteer, support staff and administrator and deliver unique benefits to our members, supporters, sponsors and the local community. Additionally we will foster an environment where everyone involved in the club can achieve their goals and perform at their best.
In both assistant coaching roles you will support the head coach in overseeing the coaching program for the Les Fong 16s or Colts Program, assist in providing long-term senior players for the West Perth Football Club, create an elite environment that is conducive to both learning and enjoyment and emphasise individual player development to promote team success. Additionally you will assist in selecting the most talented developing players to progress into WAFL senior football and/or AFL football, help create a best practice, high performance program that drives players and staff to perform at their maximum capability on a consistent basis and finally create an environment that focuses on a player first mentality and player development.
Suitable applicants must possess:
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lead and influence
• Understand talented athlete identification
• Demonstrate structured and sequential planning within a football season
• Strong knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies
• Understanding of skill development learning strategies
• Understanding of the Talent Pathway
• Minimum Level 2 Coach Accreditation
