Falcons Coach, Geoff Valentine re-signs with the Club for a further two seasons.

Geoff Valentine will coach West Perth until at least the end of the 2022 season after a solid first two seasons in charge which has included finals appearances in 2019 & 2020. West Perth President, Neale Fong said the Board was extremely pleased to extend Valentine’s contract ahead of the 2021 home-and-away season.

“Geoff has helped our football club to build a strong and united culture, he has a great connection with his players, his coaching team and the broader community. Geoff is a person of great character and integrity and we’re excited to continue our journey with him leading the team as we strive for our next premiership,” Fong said.

“I’m incredibly honoured to continue coaching the West Perth Football Club and have the support of Neale and the Board” Valentine said. “It’s a collective effort that helps deliver success, and I’m fortunate at West Perth to have a great group of players, coaches and staff all working together towards our goal. It’s been an exciting couple of seasons thus far at West Perth with plenty of challenges which we have faced head on. I know both myself, the coaches and players are eager for the challenges that await next season.”

In his first two WAFL seasons, Valentine has led the Falcons to two finals series campaigns, including a Preliminary Final in 2020.
