Tyler Keitel Life Membership
Tyler Keitel arrived at West Perth in the summer of 2015.
It was not the normal progression to league football. A long and drawn-out clearance wrangle between East Perth and the WAFC would mean a delayed start to his first season in 2015.
As it turned out, fortunately for the Falcons, the WAFC arbitrator ruled in favour of the recruiting rules and allowed West Perth to recruit 19-year-old Tyler.
Even from that early-stage Tyler showed his resilience. With great support from mum Rhonda, father Mark and Uncle Ron Skender he stuck fat to our clubs process.
Ultimately it turned out to be a very good decision for Tyler and West Perth- playing in a grand final in first season and then again in 2018. Albeit losing ones.
Season 2022 proved to be third time 3 lucky. A premiership medallion.
This now sits proudly amongst his other personal achievements including:
A Breckler Medal in 2019.
Three Bernie Naylor medals in 2018, 2021 and 2023.
Two state games and leadership roles within the Falcons.
After 14 games in 2015 Tyler now sits on 161 games and booted 319 goals.
From his early days as a water safety officer at his local pool to warehouse work whilst studying. To real estate and now a dedicated policeman-all whilst playing football. Tyler epitomizes the commitment required to be successful in football and indeed life.
Congratulations Tyler.
