FALCONS PAY TRIBUTE TO EDDIE WYLDE
The West Perth Football Club is mourning the passing of 1960 Premiership player Eddie Wylde who sadly passed away earlier this week.
A Life Member of the Falcons, Eddie played 200 games and kicked 145 goals. An outstanding footballer, he was runner-up to Merv McIntosh in the 1954 Sandover Medal.
In 1960 he became a Premiership player and also represented WA in State football.
He was friends with both Ray and Don Marinko Jnr, growing up together and playing in the Temperance League and Mt Hawthorn Metropolitan League before they went to West Perth.
Eddie, Ray and Don all played in the 1960 flag.
West Perth players will wear black armbands this weekend against East Perth.
Condolences from everyone at the West Perth Football Club to Eddie’s family.
