FALCONS SCORE WITH AWARD WINNING PHOTOGRAPHER

The West Perth Football Club is very fortunate to have the services of three fantastic photographers –Matt Beilken, Belinda Taylor and Dan White – who work tirelessly to capture images throughout the season. Their images can be viewed on our Photo Gallery and Facebook.

Often in terrible conditions such as the weekend's grand final and the Medibank Stadium mud bath against East Perth, their commitment to the Falcons is unwavering.

Dan White is an accredited photographer with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and recently entered some West Perth images in the sports category of the 2014 Canon AIPP APPA photo competition.

The judging was telecast live on the internet and each image was reviewed by a panel of five judges. It took over two and a half hours for the judges to get through all the images in that category.   The judges gave each image a score between 50 & 100 with the average of the five judges to being the final score awarded

95 - 100 Gold with Distinction

90 - 94 Gold

85 - 89 Silver with Distinction

80 - 84 Silver

50 - 70 No award

Dan is to be congratulated as he received an 85 on the featured black and white image of Jordan Jones, taken at the aforementioned West Perth v East Perth game.
