ANOTHER MILESTONE IN A GREAT LIFE
Captaining the 1942 team to a premiership over Claremont capped off a superb debut season for Len Harman. Finishing equal second in the Sandover Medal count, by one vote, this was to be the beginning of a distinguished 12-season, 201 game career at West Perth. Whilst rapidly establishing his reputation in his own right, Len became known as “Jimmy Craig the Second”.
Len went on to play in the flag winning 1949 and 1951 premierships, and was listed among the best players both time. The half-back flanker quickly became famous as one of the greatest exponents of the high mark the game has seen.
The West Perth Football Club would like to congratulate Len on his 90th birthday, celebrated Friday 28 November.
