2014 BOARD ELECTION

Nominations have now closed for the six (6) positions of Director of the West Perth Football Club for seasons 2015 / 16. At the time of closure seven (7) nominations for Directors were received, resulting in an election. President, Brett Raponi, was re-elected unopposed for a fourth term and said:

“I am delighted that the membership has shown continued faith in me and look forward to the next two years as President. My energy and great passion for West Perth and the WAFL remains as strong as ever. I am fiercely committed to the tasks and challenges that lay ahead. The last two years have been real highlights with the Club celebrating a premiership in the League and the Reserves. The financial turnaround of the Club this year over last year is also something I am proud of. The market is very tough and all industry in this state is suffering to some degree. To see the club improve revenue this year by $286k is a great and significant achievement. This could not have been achieved without the hard work and significant support I and the Club administration receives from our Board of Directors. To Scott Ballem, Richard Homsany, Chris Erikson, Bec Pearce, Rob Jackson and Steve Morgan (pictured) I say thank you for your support and efforts in ensuring West Perth remains strong.

The excitement of our new club rooms and the new corporate partnership we have with the West Coast Eagles will ensure the on field and off field success of West Perth into the next decade and beyond."

Financial members are eligible for one (1) vote per membership held, and ballot forms have been posted with the close of ballot by return post 5pm Friday 12 December (hand delivered ballots must be returned by close of business Tuesday 16 December). The successful candidates will be announced at the AGM, 7pm Wednesday 17 December, held in the Sports Bar (upper level, HBF Arena - near our office).
