THE West Perth Football Club has honoured its premiership team of 2013 at the Breckler Medal count on Friday at Joondalup Resort with joint winners announced in a tight fairest and best count that saw precious little separate the top-four players.

A TERRIFIC season by West Perth's reserves wasn’t rewarded with a premiership on Sunday but there was a lot to like about the efforts that got them there.

WEST Perth beat East Perth by 49 points in Sunday's WAFL grand final to claim the Falcons' first premiership since 2003 and all 22 players made a strong contribution in the premiership triumph.
WEST Perth had too much left in the tank for East Perth in the 2013 WAFL grand final with the Falcons overpowering the Royals in the final quarter after a tight tussle all day to end up winning by 49 points.
WEST Perth's reserves put in a tremendous effort to make the grand final of 2013 and continued to fight hard but in the end went down to a star-studded South Fremantle team by 36 points.
WEST Perth and South Fremantle finished 2013 as the two most in-form reserves teams and as a result have made the grand final and are sure to play out a hard fought contest to determine the premiers.
WEST Perth and East Perth have both waited a long time for another WAFL grand final appearance and now it just happens to be up against one another with the Falcons and Royals entering the premiership decider with similar form lines.
