WEST Perth further consolidated second position on the WAFL ladder with a comfortable and convincing 49-point win over Peel Thunder at Arena Joondalup on Saturday.
WEST Perth and Peel might seem a mismatch on paper with it being second against last on the ladder but with some big outs for the Falcons and big inclusions for the Thunder, the clash significantly tightens up.
NOT only is the West Perth team of 2013 performing well as a collective sitting in second position on the ladder but a host of players could also be putting themselves in the frame to end up on AFL lists.

WE DID a bit of competitive work during the week which we don’t usually do a lot of, so that sharpened the boys up and I was really happy with the way we performed. To be able to shut them down in the second half to three scoring shots and three behinds was a really good reward for effort.

Every football club has one of those games and for West Perth it was against South Fremantle at the Arena Joondalup on Saturday.
No matter how hard they tried nothing went right and they suffered a thirty nine point defeat at the hands of the bottom placed team. To South Fremantle’s credit they persevered for four quarters and increased their lead at each change. It was the Falcons heaviest defeat of the season.
