Ben King has announced his retirement from the West Perth Football Club after 6 seasons and 68 League Games. The no-nonsense defender was recruited to the Club via Gin Gin FC and debuted in 2014 playing 4 games that season and being a member of the 2014 Reserves Premiership team.

West Perth’s “Mr Courageous”, Laine Rasmussen announced his retirement last week calling time on an outstanding career that yielded 102 senior games, a premiership and a list of achievements that most aspiring footballers would dream of.

An Easter football feast will open the 2021 Optus WAFL Premiership Season, seeing five blockbuster games played across two days, beginning with a double-header on Good Friday, April 2.
The 20-round home-and-away season will be followed by a four-week finals series, with the Optus WAFL Grand Final scheduled to be played on the weekend of September 18 & 19 at a venue to be confirmed.
Club legend Jason Salecic is striving to make a comeback to playing WAFL football again for his beloved West Perth. Retiring after the 2013 Premiership, the 213 game veteran is on track for a return to league ranks in 2021.
