It was the first time that the Falcons and Eagles have met since the competition was expanded to ten teams and it was the home team that had the best of the contest. West Perth grabbed the lead early in the second quarter and didn’t relinquish it for the rest of the game. At the end of the day they ran out thirty six point winners and put themselves back in the Read More [+]

A Message from the President
First up, I’d like to thank our loyal members for their past and present support for the West Perth Football Club.
As you know, we are the oldest club in the WAFL, but that did not save us from running into financial troubles last year, which had been building for some time.

Royals Outlast Falcons
It was a tight contest all day but the Royals were better in the crucial moments and as a result they broke the Falcons winning run. The home team ran out ten point winners against a West Perth team that tried hard all day. East Perth had a twenty four point lead early in the final term but despite the Falcons best efforts they weren’t able to overcome this advantage.

Falcons Thankyou
The Falcons thank the volunteers from Whitford Junior Football Club who made last Saturday’s
home game such a success.
In particular, we salute Claire O’Donnell, and club president Phil O’Donnell who worked tirelessly
from early in the morning until well after the 9.30, to provide food and drinks for both Falcons and
Peel fans. Special thanks to Megan Miles who looked at home behind our bar. Dave Horne on the
BBQ.
Falcons Tough It Out
West Perth looked in trouble on a number of occasions on Saturday but they managed to dig deep and record a well-earned five point victory against Peel. A brilliant third quarter appeared to set up a Falcon victory but a fight back by Peel in the final term saw the game go down to the last minute of the game. It was a terrific victory.

BIG DAY OUT
For the second consecutive round all three teams had victories and are gaining momentum as we head towards winter. The Colts won by four goals, the Reserves hung tough to win by five points and the League team defeated the previously unbeaten Demons by thirty one. It was a particularly important victory for the League team as it keeps them in touch with the top five.

TRIPLE TREAT
The Falcons had a great day at East Fremantle Oval on Saturday with all three grades having a win. The League team won by twenty-six, the Reserves by four and the Colts by five. It was a great fillip for the Club leading into the State gamebye next week.
In the League encounter, East Fremantle had the first on the board early. It went to big man Cameron Loersch. His height caused problems for the West Perth defence Read More [+]

Swan Districts scored the first four goals of the match and from that point in time onwards West Perth were playing catch up at the Arena on Saturday. Unfortunately, that task was beyond the team suffering a forty four point defeat.
By the sixteen minute mark of the first quarter Swans had established a twenty five point lead. One of the goals went to Corey Gault who kicked five for the visitors. His strong marking was a real feature of the game. Read More [+]
