FALCONS GREAT RETURNS AS GENERAL MANAGER, FOOTBALL OPERATIONS
THE West Perth Football Club is delighted to announce to return of a Falcons great to help usher in the new era at HBF Arena with the appointment of Steve Trewhella to the role of General Manager, Football Operations.
Trewhella is a West Perth legend having played 174 games between 1994 and 2003 with his last game being the triumphant 2003 grand final victory over Subiaco. He also became a premiership skipper on that famous afternoon at Subiaco Oval.
During that 10-year stint as a Falcons player, Trewhella became a triple premiership player having been there for the 1995, 1999 and 2003 flags. He is also a three-time Breckler Medallist having claimed the Falcons' fairest and best award in 1996, 1997 and 2000.

NEW WEST PERTH FACILITIES AT HBF ARENA OFFICIALLY OPENED
THE $24-million redevelopment of HBF Arena providing a home for not only the West Perth Football Club but the Wanneroo Basketball Association and the Joondalup Wolves was officially opened on Saturday marking an exciting new era for the Falcons at the Joondalup venue.
Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray on Saturday officially opened the brand new basketball and football facilities at HBF Arena following an extensive $24 million redevelopment with majority of the funding from the State Government.

TRIPLE TREAT AS SHANE NELSON WINS BRECKLER MEDAL
PROLIFIC midfielder Shane Nelson has cemented himself as an all-time great of the West Perth Football Club winning the Breckler Medal as the fairest and best for a third time at a glittering awards night at Joondalup Resort.
It was a historic night for the West Perth Football Club with not only the celebration of the 2017 WAFL season with the Falcons' league, reserves and colts award winners, but also the introduction of the women's team awards with winners announced from the league, reserves and Youth Girls teams in the Mundella WA Women's Football League.
In the end, the major awards on the night were taken out by Nelson (league fairest and best), Conal Lynch (reserves), Dylan Yem (colts), Laura Pugh (women's league), Ruby Cunningham (women's reserves) and Dana Mullumby (Rogers Cup).
